Back onto the bandwagon until Christmas, then I will take a week of enjoying life.
Then with the new year back to the strict lines of diet and losing weight.

I went back to the gym this morning, and man it sure felt good!
I am gonna try the pilates my sister taught me while she was here on tuesdays and thursdays, and see if the combination will help get me more fit.

I wonder if I can find a dvd someplace cheap on pilates.

Friday, December 08, 2006

Thanks for the vote of confidence Juha, as a matter of fact, I've been feeling kinda blah and puffy. So I didn't even get on the scale, and I am going on a visit on saturday, so I'll weigh in next week on friday and hopefully have gotten rid of any weight gain from this past week.
This past week was totally awesome with my mom and sis here.
It was non-stop but it was good non-stop.
We went to Amsterdam and Delft, we saw Tilburg, and walked all over the place, didn't even bike but one time last week.
I go back to the gym on monday, and time to get my butt in gear.
My sis told me about Pilates and suggested that I do some of them on my days off from the gym, and in the evenings if I have time.
They hurt those pilates... but I'm willing to give them a try and maybe get myself back on the downward spiral. :-)
I know my feeling bloated and blah comes from this past week, not drinking enough, not eating at my normal times and getting way too much 'good' foods. But sis was nice and gentle in her manner of telling me to cut down even more on the amount of food I eat. I explained to her, that what she was seeing me eat, was already half the portion sizes I was eating before.
She cheered me on when I showed her the blue plates I had bought, the ones that are smaller than my cream and black ones. She even told me that I need to keep my meals to the inside white section on the plate and not let it overflow into the coloured areas.
I'm gonna try, but thats gonna take a LOT of effort, and a lot of starving I think.
She did explain to me that changing my routines at the gym is better for me than to keep doing the same thing each time. Start with something different and do different lengths of time on each thing each day.
She got me encouraged to keep sorting and tossing things. So I'm gonna be busy doing that kind of things. Maybe a good thing to start the new year without all the garbage and baggage in this house.

You done good Juha. You'll be nothing but skin and bones if you keep losing weight. ;)

hugs to all!

Narf
Hopefully you're doing good out there. I had a oki week. Though it seems that the guidelines I set for myself in the start of the diet were a bit too harsh for my weight keeps dropping...still after reaching the mini goal I had. The thing is I have no desire to go back eating like I used to and I think im eating enough now anyway so I'll just keep living like I am now
and see where i end up with my weight :P Don't jump the scale this week Sarah if you had extraordinary week. Let it balance out and check what the scales say next week(?)

last week: 79,5
this week: 78,6

Today was one FULL day.
This morning at 10am I was at the gym.
Did 30mins on the Power Plate
40mins on the elliptical
Came home from the gym, and bike 45min against the wind to brother-in-law's bday
Biked 45min back to the big Interpolis building downtown for Sinterklaas.
Went to Juffrouw Tok a chicken place that has some awesome Kip Piri Piri - nice HOT spicy chicken.
Came home and realized didn't have anything in the house for tomorrow breakfast or lunch, so went back out to the albert heijn and bought food.

Now I'm home, and feeling actually pretty good aside my knees hurt a bit.

Friday, November 24, 2006

Juha that ground meat looks like typical stuff. Even pure beef has a lot of fat in it when cooked. Eating ground meat is not a problem, its just a matter as to how you prepare it, and how much of it you eat. You are doing good in draining the fat off, I do this as well, and don't cook my ground meat in butter anymore. But around here, the mixed stuff isn't much cheaper than the plain beef. I prefer the taste of plain beef ground meat than the mixed unless I'm going to make sausage gravy and biscuits. :-)

Also draining the fat will make the meat brown easier, its an added reason for doing so. :-) Good job.

Heather - I hope that Thanksgiving dinner of yours tasted as good as it looked! I'll take pics of mine next week. Cause now I'm really craving Turkey and pumpkin pie! ;-)

This week has been so full of stress and bad things...
I haven't even done very good on the diet this week.
Fitness test sucked, and all the rest of the last minute shit that needs to get done before mom and sis get here...
Been trying to smile through it all, it hasn't always been possible and I thank you both for listening to me whine when I did.

I got on the scale this week
Start Weight - 135
Last week - 128.8
This week - 129.8

Gained back a kilo, and I'm worried that next week will be horrible for the diet as well with mom and sis being here. I'm thinking of doing Thanksgiving next thursday, so I won't be getting on the scale on friday next week. Not to mention that I will be in amsterdam walking all day long. :-)

Plans for this weekend and the next 2 weeks
Today - Sinterklaas at Opa
Tomorrow - Possible gym visit, 40th birthday visit to brother-in-law, Sinterklaas at Kees' work, Dinner out with the co-workers
Sunday - Finish the Attic
Monday - gym, clean
Tuesday - last bits of cleaning
Wednesday - Get mom and Sis
Thursday - no plans as of yet aside for making pepernoten dough at school
Friday - Amsterdam
Saturday - nothing planned yet, but maybe a visit to the city center
Sunday - Sinterklaas at Oma
Monday - possible visit to delft and rotterdam
Tuesday - Sinterklaas at school, tea at friends house
Wednesday - Sinterklaas at home
Thursday - mom and sis leave....

So my life is gonna be filled completely for the next weeks...

So don't worry about me too much!
Juha says:
its friday tho
Heather says:
i don't care what day it is
Heather says:
i'm not getting on a scale day after thanksgiving
Another weight in day.

Last week:
79,7kg
This week: 79,5kg

Been holding that for a while so I started to wonder what I should do reach 79kg. Physical exercies would help but its november, what do you want to do out there when its dark and it rains? Bla. Anyway did some tests in kitchen yesterday. Minced meat is real student food it just literally swims in fat (being mix of pork and bovine) Pure bovine version would have less but its more expensive. So made an attempt to get rid of that extra fat last night heres footage of that little experiment:

...and jep, got 100ml of fat outof that cone.. perhaps at least reducing the amount of minced
meat from diet would help me, drying it like this every time is nitpicking though :P

HOly crap Sarah, what a great loss! You're getting closer and closer to -10kg too! That's awesome :)

Me.. well two big get togethers of eating out this week didn't help, and neither does mother nature's uberbloat. 59.5 said the scale for me this morning. I'll try to do better next week :)
Nice to hear of positive result Sarah, but that "whee" didnt sound peppy enough: you did lose a 'chunk' and you fought so smile :)
Its been a stressful week, but I've been strong.

Starting weight - 135
Last week weight - 129.3
Today's weight - 128.8

Whee...
Hi pinkie buddies.
Took the last week abit easier. Ate things I figured would be tasty on several nights. (never slipping out of the usual eating schedule ofcourse: 3 meals in aday), and I didn't have porridge or pea soup on my menu. It was sort of more relaxed approach. Even broke my long kebab break. Despite of all the talks I haven't had kebab since august, and yesterday I skipped cooking, buying a huge kebab plate with salad and rice :D .....It wasn't the food of Gods I remembered it to be, but something special anyway. But goes nicely here. Hope you guys had a good week as well.

Last week: 79,6kg
This week: 79,7kg
(I got more chubby tho....)

Friday, November 10, 2006

Start weight - 135
Last week weight - 129.7
Today's weight - 129.3

Whee 400 grams off!

Breakfast
vitamins
water
1 banana

lunch
2 sausagebroodjes
800ml water

dinner
spaghetti
800ml water
Weigh in: 59kg

Hoho! Up .5! I blame that mostly on going out to eat yesterday tho... I haven't eaten to diet so much this week, and I know I should lose extremely slowly in general, but +.5 can only really really be due to stuffing my face at a fancypants resturaunt till late last night :D

In general the diet goes well on this end, and for the first time since I lived with my parents as a kid I now have a full mirror in the house so I can see what I look like... I'd not had one in so long I guess because I knew what I saw only depressed me, but now I know I can fix the 'wrong bits' flab-wise, and the rest of me I just accept as me... sounds silly, but for me it's a big step. I have a real mirror.

Good job to Juha and good luck to Sarah... coming in on the Holiday season, dieting will be extra hard, but even with added treats, we'll all lose this weight in the end :)
Last week: 80.3kg
This week: 79,6kg

Thats the lowest it has ever been after changing the eating habits. The past week was a bumby ride. Lectures got cancelled and I drifted into somesort wierd schedule where I got up at 2pm and went to bed around 4am, which ofcourse messed up eating as well. Despite of the fact that I didn't skip meals and ate rather well (..well porridge and pea soup... but ate anyway) I expect to see the reading go up abit. I anyway plan to start cooking again, 'the poor man's week' ends here. I have no real need to eat like a prisoner (as someone put it) :P Anyways, hope you guys had a good week, anxious to hear of you.

Sarah fought through several parties not gaining (One party was enough to give me +1kg) and Heather who already must look like a little bird is getting closer to her goal. We had a good week.

Today's horoscope...

Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 20)
The practical world of commitment and responsibility is less interesting to you now. Your future seems clearer, yet the day is still full of unexpected twists and turns. Don't set yourself up for disappointment by making your expectations too high. This is an emotionally unstable period and your feelings are seeking external events to match your inner intensity. Be as gentle with yourself as possible.
*big hugs* to sarah... you know we wuv you, and the dark clouds will pass soon enough. Hope you are feeling a little better already, hun.

Weigh in: 58.5kg

This is the lowest the scale has ever said for me in this past decade and a half of my wee life. I've talked with Mark a lot on weights and such, and we both agree that 60kg is the max weight i should ever have again. If I rise above that point, it will always be diet time to lose it again. I know I can hold a weight tho, without so much effort anymore. Losing is hard stuff, but hey... 3.5kg to go... I can do this.

After feeling like I was run over by a truck wednesday...
I've gotten myself a cold...
Am having problems at work and I feel like I could curl up and die without much protest.
Had a fight with the husband about his stupid ass phone... he blamed me cause his beltegoed was all gone and I haven't touched his damn phone. somehow he got signed up for jamba shit... and he blamed me... like well duh if I was gonna do that shit, I'd waste the 70 euros I have on my own phone...

but now I'm sick and feeling awful all day...
its cold and wet and I hate being cold and wet...

breakfast was a banana and a mandarine
lunch was 2 sandwiches with pickles and butter
dinner will be couscous, gyros and salad

I feel like shit and will prolly go to bed after I get home from work.
I've been taking paracetomal all day long and my head is still pounding, and my throat is sore...
I'm kinda hoping it turns into strep so I can get my damn tonsils out...

It isn't really a finnish thing to "celebrate" this day, but im aware of the concept. Some shops also try to sell special items. Saw some painted pumpkins in one of them yesterday. (did you get that pumpkin of yours carved heather?) But speaking of BLOOD, perhaps i'll have some pancakes of certain type today then. Muah, excellent turn of events and a jeans story, which got me to smile as well :) And yeah, after pondering your view, thats indeed what it is (diet), rearranging your life. I guess my problem is being too strict, and in that sense the reminder that you can eat less on the next to day was something I needed to hear. I've done this for some time now and my 'lines' are still abit shaky, but in time it will hopefully become easier, because as wierd as this may sound like coming from a man, I too want to get my ass in smaller pants. Yes im aware of its existence :P
ps: Do you have stories where you've been forced to draw a line in a similar manner?

Every day for the rest of your life.

Every day.

Sometimes you eat, sometimes you just say no. Diets never end, and in that way it's not really a diet, but a rearranging of how you live. You can't always say no though. Sometimes just say less, and sometimes go all out and just eat less the next day to balance it out.

But you will face this story every day if you wish to maintain a healthy weight :)
what with all the walking and biking you will have to do now that you are back in the Netherlands without a car again. ;)

Not that we had a car in DC or NYC, mind you!

But in reality, after "plane bloat" went away... i swear you puff up on those things... The scale read 59kg this morning. So in the end I didn't lose or gain. We walked a LOT, I'm sure it helped.

In the end, one great diety thing I did experience while there was shopping for a pair of jeans. Tried on lots and while I could squeeze my ass into a pair of size 5 juniors, i couldn't breathe. Getting them on was a happy moment tho! I did walk away with a perfect fit size 7's (not stretch) though! I haven't worn size 7 at all since I was a Freshman-Sophomore in Highschool. *woot* Super happy moment. :)

PS: I won't be listing my meals anymore. The experiment of me listing them before for a month just showed me again that it doesn't work for me, rather it makes me fixate on food. I AM still dieting though, don't you worry :)
I've woken with a headache this morning that I went to bed with last night.
I have a ton of things to do today yet and its raining.
Need to get the foods and drinks for tomorrow's family/friend bday party for Judy.

So gotta get busy.

Breakfast
Total calories - 243

1 banana - 105
1 apple - 69
1 mandarine - 69
500ml water
vitamins and paracetamol

Juha congrats on the loss. 200 grams is almost a pound!
Heather you will be back down to your 55 in no time at all, what with all the walking and biking you will have to do now that you are back in the Netherlands without a car again. ;)

Last week: 80,9
This week: 80,6

They call Oulu the promised land of pizzerias. There's a pizza place nearly in every corner of the street. The immigrants are not interested of trying to run little bakeries like there. They sell their pizzas so cheap that the price wont even cover up the making cost and due to this fact it is widely suspected that they practise 'money laundering'. I have friends who eat alot of these pizzas, due to these reasons I mentioned. It is hard to say 'No' to invitations to dine with them. I have tried to get them to understand that there is nothing wrong in their company and the random pizzas are the problem Like I said it is hard, but in times like that I think about you guys and I imagine you wouldnt give up either to random temptations. Group support means alot and now when you're both here again, writing of your days, it easier to carry on.

ps: Do you have stories where you've been forced to draw a line in a similar manner?

Winter greetings from oulu and ..it is still october. (click me to see the snow fly)
Weigh in after vacation: 60.5 kg

Not as terrible as I thought in the end. My goal is again 55kg, so I'll work to getting to it I'd like to see near it by January orso, but I think March/Feb is more realistic.

..but I haven't done so well either, gained alot of by eating the leftovers of bday party and still sort of recovering from that... anyways, looking forward to see positive results on friday.

Wednesday, October 25, 2006

Hey sweethearts...

This morning and this week obviously wasn't a good one. I need my kiss ass coach back, you've been wonderful Juha, but damn it I miss Heather. Next will have to be an extra strict and extra workouts. I really missed the gym this week and I could feel it even before getting on the scale.

Start weigh-in: 135 kilos
Last week weigh-in:128.3
Today's weigh-in: 129.7

I actually think that the scale was being nice to me... but its time to be strict strict strict and get my ass back on this diet... I have a little over a month before my mommy and sister get here and I really would like to have my first 10 kilos gone before they get here.

Next week I will be going to the gym monday, tuesday and friday, on wednesday I will being on a fall walk with the kids from Kristel's class, so that will be extra exercise too. Monday afternoon I have to help with the lice check at the school, tuesday afternoon will prolly be a trip to the library, along with Judy's 8th birthday.

Juha - glad your week was better than mine was, we can be extra strict together this week.
Well the good news are that I've recovered from the disastrous bday week, but the bad news are that the overall results of the diet havent improved.

Last week: 81,7 kg
This week: 80,9 kg

-800g by quitting the cake eating.

On the coming week my goal is to keep the amount of food i devour per meal in control.
We'll see where that gets us.

Hiya.

I've been off diet for a few days, and probably will remain so for a little while. I had a very bad call with my dad yesterday which left me shaken and I don't really feel like adding mysery to mysery by having rising and falling sugar levels do to the starvation of a diet I have to place myself to lose weight from my current weight.

I'll join again when I feel I can relax and smile more.

Got to run across town now to give medicine to a rat, so I'll leave you with a pic of Tux.

Was on strangely good mood today despite of the fact that I didn't eat that well and the exam I had went badly. Sunday, October 01, 2006

Yeah I know McDonald's isn't the best place to eat and I know I could have gotten a chicken salad or something healthier, but for once I was in the mood for fries and cola. I've been really good and not had them that often since we started this diet and we used to eat fries at least once a week.

Just gonna have to work harder and eat healthier this week.

I was in the middle of a thought here... and left to do something else came back and don't remember what I was writing.

I'm still tired even though I took a nap today... my hip and knees hurt, but at least I know I was having fun at the wedding party last night.

Oh now I remember...
My Abundance Board, I will post new pictures as I add things to it. :D
Juha please don't starve yourself to death. It is not worth it. Skipping lunch on a work day when you slave away outside for hours doing serious activity just can't be good for you. Please eat.

Snack:
Some home made applesauce fresh from the pot. The apples were from Mark's dad's tree and boiled up by Mark himself this afternoon.

Dinner: Will be a nice stew, made from the vast array of bits plucked from the garden as we cleared it wof winter. Bread along with it. Mjam.
Interesting board indeed.

Breakfast 4am
Toast and coffee
- No more muesli, it's literally coming out of my ears. Tho I have some of it still left and should eat the yoghurt as well before it gets old but I just have to buy cereals on monday.

Lunch ?
- No lunch, It vanished somewhere again ..this will be just a 2 meal day again.

Dinner 6pm
- Will be 'italian pasta' a little pouch of peas, pasta, paprika and spice combined to minced meat and most likely toasts(cant stop eating them) again with coffee and chocolate as dessert.
Breakfast: Cornflakes and coffee

Lunch: two pieces of bread with a lil goat cheese and a deli slice of chorizo esque stuff.

And Mcdonalds?! Are you sure you want to eat there!? Of course if you try really really hard, you can get a Mcdonalds meal with the normal amount of caloris for lunch.

The board sounds like a nice idea. You'll have to show what all goes onto it :)
This is about the Abundance Board I was talking about

The word ‘instruction’ is actually pretty loose. There are very few distinct rules for an abundance board:
-it must be a real 3-D thing
-it should be placed in a higher traffic area in your world
-it should be filled with positive things, taking care to avoid the use of the words no or not**
-it should make you happy

**psychologists believe they have proved that the sub-conscious mind does not process the words no and not the way we would want them to, so the sentence “ I will not cheat on my diet” becomes “I will cheat on my diet”. It may not be true, but who wants to risk it?

That’s it for the rules. The rest is a blank canvas waiting to be filled with your highest aspirations.

How it works:
The idea for an abundance board is not mine. It’s also not the only technique that would work. I liked it because it’s very non-denominational and shouldn’t raise the eyebrows of too many various family members if they walk past it.

The mind has a great amount of power to create our lives around us. I truly believe we are all responsible to be co-creators in life along side our Higher Power. (can I just use the word God for convenience?) Because we are blessed with Free Will, we need to understand that we can only receive what we ask for-what we take ownership of. How does that happen? Well, I believe God is listening and waiting for us to do our part of the bargain. It’s called Free Will because we need to WILL want we want. When we give that energy to our lives, then God is allowed to enhance that energy. It’s a partnership.

Our thoughts and our emotions are the tools we use to fuel this energy.
thought + emotion= Intent

They work together and create the fire. This group is special because we all have a natural inborn ability to make things out of nothing but our imaginations. We create jewelry and beads out of our dreams and desires. We play with the fire and metals and glass and gases and they too are our partners. We are natural manifestors and the board is how we ignite this ability into regular daily life.

Materials:

-some sort of board.
Could be a canvas, foamcore, cardboard, etc. I have a corkboard I’m using-it’s big, 24 x 36. I don’t think size matters too much. It just shouldn’t be too tiny that it can’t fit your dreams inside of it.

- affirmations -words that say what you mean, like “I am healthier than I’ve ever been” “My life is filled with grace and ease” “My family respects me”
These words can be folded and tucked behind pictures. as long as you know they’re there, it’s o.k. not to display them.

-pictures that represent your goals. Maybe someone wants to get to a certain level in their flameworking. They can put up a picture of a bead that represents to them what a high level of ability is. Putting that picture there with that idea in mind will help you get to that level. I’m personally going to use Google Images and collect stuff and print it. I don’t have a lot of magazines around the house.

-positive gifts from other people.

-anything that makes your heart sing.

I imagine I’ll have ribbons and fabric and a crystal and maybe moms will have some cool kid art and the skies the limit. Have you been wishing you felt younger? Then do something you would have done when you were a kid-like gluing noodles with glitter around the frame, you know? It’s your kingdom and you make the rules.

I plan on putting pics up of my board, and it will constantly evolve and I’ll probably show updates. I think it’s fun to share with each other and help cement these hopes into reality. I think of thoughts as 5-D and I know I want them to become 3-D. (4-D is Time).

If you are stressed right now and don’t have time, I would like to offer a suggestion. At the very least, begin with an empty board that has just one thing in the bullseye that you want more than anything. Perhaps a photograph of your family healthy and happy and together. Just that one thing will be a powerful beginning, and it would only take a few minutes to do. Life is a process and the board will represent and mirror that process. There is no right and wrong and it probably never should be finished. It just needs to Be.

Here is a picture of what I've done to mine so far.

Dancing from 9:30pm until 1:30am (not slow dancing, the bouncing good dancing that makes you sweat) It was a wonderful day and evening. The kids stayed at oma's so we got to stay out as late as we wanted.

Daily Total Calories - I'm just gonna guess at over the 2000 mark for saturday....

Saturday, September 30, 2006

Due to work eating schedule went to bollocks again. Got up at 4am to have breakfast. Ate a little snack at noon and now at eight pm im about to have dinner!
But in other news: I also did some exercises today. Based on the conversation about the length of breaks between the series with Sarah, _I_ changed my gym program, and cut the length of breaks by 45s. Damn that the program got demanding :P
Breakfast: Cornflakes and coffee

Lunch & afternoon Snack: One whole sandwich with cheese and another with Turkey and lettuce. Two bananas, some tomatos, sultanas and juice.

Biked 54km... hence all the eating. Saw lotsa nature too! Four storks (the baby toting sort), lots of swans, a male and female phesant, lots of bunnies and herons, and even a partidge!

I'm pooped now.

Dinner will be a thin crust oven pizza.

Just sucky microwave food but didnt feel like cooking this late.

ps: cornflake girl, dont go hanging with the raisin girls.
4pm snack: Cornflakes. I luvs my cornflakes.
When doing my weights
I do one reps of 15 of whatever, then rest for 1 min, then do my next 15, rest 1 min, then next 15.

When doing the other things, elliptical, rowing, biking, walking...
I go from one to the next, to keep my heartrate up. I'm supposed to have it at 144 minumum, 175 max. I haven't hit the 175 yet and hope I don't ever hit that again. Sometimes its REALLY hard for me to get my heartrate up to 144 and keep it there throughout the hour plus exercising.
Nice to hear that the week went well Sarah. I was interested of your workout. What kind of pauses do you have between the series/repeats? I actually take time. 1min 45s sharp always, and then a new set. I do this to build up aerobic condition and as I keep it fast paced the visits feel more efficient. Perhaps you could ask from your instructor if it would be fitting to adjust the length of breaks, that is if you want to adjust the program at some point.

Went to see my mother in the afternoon 'cause I felt I needed company, and her words were something along the lines "havent you been eating, there are dents in your cheeks" - The first comments I've heard about this diet in rl. Felt good to hear feedback. In other news learned about bmi from Heather today. I swear I haven't used it as a measurement stick at all. Just calculated the ideal weight with the help of calculators and started to go towards that kg reading. She found it very odd, and compared it to not knowing about existence of Africa, which I for my behalf found very amusing :)
Juha - congrats on the 1.5 kilos loss. 1.5 kilos isn't a fluke just cause you didn't eat good one day. its the combination of your gym time, soccer games and eating healthier.

I was pleasantly surprised when the scale read 129.9 it may only be 100 grams under that 130 mark, but heck its still 129.9 and its 200 grams off from last week's kilo gain. Even with eating pizza last night. ;)

my munchies craving has subsided some, and today after the gym I felt really good. That sauna was awesome today... have to say I kinda prefer it when there isn't anyone else in it... I like to lay day and feel the heat slowly seep into my muscles.
Lunch: 3x pieces of bread, a small bit of paturain, lettuce, and 4x pieces of turkey shared with the cat

Good job ducking back beneath the 130 mark, Sarah! Keep it up and we'll pass this plateau for real soon!

If I had known what kind of day was ahead of me when I woke up this morning
I would have stayed in bed. The day was a rollercoaster of emotions and thoughts during which i did some embarrassingly stupid things, which I now regret. Didn't even eat right. I just wasn't hungry enough. Had breakfast and dinner, and that was it. I drank just water after that.

Lousy day, but perhaps I still learned something out of this tho I am grateful that there's only 30mins left of this.
Snack: More cornflakes. I like cornflakes.
Lunch: Some cornflakes and a whole turkey sandwich thick with lettuce.

I'll make some coffee later too.

Blogger's been crapping out on the posting a lot lately, habging on 0% posted, then posting multies for me. Annoying ;P

Sorry guys for being MIA.. Hubby didn't make it to China. Long story... mixup with his tickets. Anyway we have been in the process of getting ready to move. Well this week we are boxing like crazy as the decision will be made this week as to which house we will rent. Plus since he is off and he can help me box it's as good a time as any.

Haven't been on the computer at all. Will be back when things die down a little.

Could work if I nab something light like a fruit or so. Have to figure out some solution. Thanks.
So have a snack at 4pm, Juha. Thats considered healthy as your blood sugar levels stay in line. We've said this before :)

Dinner: Vindaloo with organic brown rice (ooo) and lettuce + lowfat yoghurt. Coffee after... huzzah...
I suppose im a liar. Said yesterday that I couldn't possible eat more macaroni casserole after 3 days. Today was the 4th day. Came home as tired from gym and surfing around in city and didn't have the strength to cook anything. Tossing the leftovers in the microwave was the easiest option.

Also bought 75% chocolate from shop today since someone keeps talking about it so much so I got curious. Little bock of it with coffee tasted nice. Seems to me that I have dessert ready for some weeks now, that is if I eat it block/day pace.

Was a busy day, gym and cycling like a maniac, looking for cable for my phone. I should sleep like a baby this night.

Dinner:
Macaroni casserole (it will take weeks before i make this again)
3 toasts with, ahem, dutch paprika :P and cheese.

As a side note. I got a bad habit. I can't have dinner without reading or watching something. This is when I eat alone and I usually eat alone. So I keep stretching the meal till 19:30. this is when simpsons start :P But its far too late time of day considering that lunch takes place at 12.00. Problematic indeed.
Lunch: Two whole sandwiches, one with chicken curry and the other with egg salad and lettuce. Coffee after. Banana for snack at 4pm. Mjam.

Had a bad night again. Got up at 3am for 2hours. Just browsed allkinds of strange inet pages I found. It's pretty wierd btw: how you are hungry if you get up in the middle of the night and then even if you wont eat a thing you are not hungry anymore after you get up for the second time in the morning. Had to force myself to eat breakfast.

I have woman issues today. Urgh!

And Mellon is sick. Bleh. Kitty's all grumpy and urgled and to top it off I had to give her a bath. She's going to the vet on Wednesday.

Dr. Phil is on TV about losing weight. He's a complete dork, but sometimes the show is good to watch... like now... for some inspiration
Way to go Sarah. Doesn't this now help you to battle against temptations when those occur? Remember the good feeling. It will carry you far. I'm happy for you and I don't wish to be a spoilsport when I say this but this isn't a point to get too satisfied yet for satisfaction marks the end of development in everything.

I measured myself today.
My last measurements were done on Aug 21, 2006.
They were
Chest: 130cm, Waist: 120cm, Hips: 148cm
Then I measured my troublesome areas, thighs (87cm), calves(51cm) and upper arms(47cm).

Today's measurements are:

Chest: 129cm (-1cm)
Waist: 118cm (-2cm)
Hips: 145cm (-3cm)
Thighs: 82cm (-5cm)
Calves: 52.5cm (+1.5cm WTF?)
Upper Arms: 45cm ((-2cm)

So no matter what that damn scale says, I'm even happier than I was before with these measurements. I can't believe that in a little over a month, I've lost that much already in cms....
Watch out world! Sarah's on a roll and you better get out of her way!!!!

I love you all! Thank you for being there for me when I've found it hard to press on and when I want to eat a bucketful of ice cream and chocolate!

Breakfast: Coffee and bread with honey

Lunch: Two open faced turkey and lettuce sandwiches
The first morning when the temperature was below zero when cycling to school. Nice and cool trip.

Breakfast:
the leftover sandwich from yesterday (egg/cheese/tomato)
wheat porridge (got myself to make porridge, my accomplishment)
muesli with banana yoghurt.

sort of heavy breakfast but i was starving, will be countered by lighter lunch.

Hey Heather, nice to see that you didn't get kidnapped by the evil germans, seeing that you ventured so close to border. + points to you also for the ice cream bout and all the biking :)
Nice critter pics, but I see your failed attempt at feeding the children to the goats! Better hide those pics before social services sees them!

Just got up, but so tired. The weekend was nice, but I won't bother to put all the foods eaten. Needless to say as with all big family gettogethers it was a lot, but end the end I avoided the massive bubild your own ice cream sunday bar and only went for the fruit there. Small accomplishments.

We also biked a full 55km yesterday, which accounts for my being zzz and sore. I'll go have some coffee now... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz..........
